Land Management

POSSE can be used for various land management and land planning activities, such as development, addressing, flood plain management, use restrictions, zoning, and more. Planners, Technicians, Development Officers, and Plans Examiners can use POSSE to track each active job, shows who is working on it, what has been completed (or not), how long each phase of the process is taking, and the current status of the job. POSSE ensures each job task is assigned to the appropriate person/people.

POSSE's powerful search capabilities allow planners to search for multiple properties/buildings and a complete online history of land-based development and addressing activity. Warnings can be placed on a property based on flood plain, historical areas, etc., and to notify users of restrictions on a property.

POSSE can integrate online geospatial data in third-party GIS systems to allow for better decision making. Staff can perform searches, buffering, notifications and more. Textual GIS data in the GIS database can also be updated using POSSE if security privileges allow.

Address maintenance and related addressing functions can also be managed with POSSE. Lot and building objects may either derive their addresses from their location or have independent addresses.

POSSE also allows you to share data and business processes with all stakeholders to ensure work in completed in a timely manner, regardless of the location of the stakeholder. If an external agency is required to approve a specific land use, they can complete their work using the POSSE Internet application.
